Shruti Haasan
Shruti Haasan is another celebrity daughter venturing into stardom. Her father is none other than Kamala Haasan and mother yesteryears Bollywood Star Sarika(divorced). Shruti Haasan Wants to be a singer since she was a kid. After 10th grade after a brief stench at St. Andrew's college at Mumbai she moved to california to study music.
Shruti haasan did her debut song for the film Thevar Magan. She was only 6 years age at that time. The film was done by her father Kamal Haasan. Clearly an advantage for her. in school, Haasan made her singing debut in the Hindi language film, Chachi 420, singing a duet performing for the voice of a child, with her father Kamal Haasan. This film was also directed by her father Kamal Haasan. (You might be thinking that if you had film maker father, you could also become a singer at the age of 5.) Then she sung for another Kamal film Hey Ram along with her father. Incidentally she made a cameo appearance as the daughter of Vallabhai Patel in the biopic of Mahatma Gandhi in the same film
Shruti Haasan, has most recently sung in a Tamil film,for Gautham Menon's Vaaranam Aayiram under the composition of Harris Jayaraj. As of July 2007, Haasan is also midway through her untitled debut album, which she has composed, written and sung, and is set for release in mid-2008.
Shruti Haasan has tried her hand in modeling also. She started by appearing in the Frappe! magazine version of September 2007, since then she has gone on to appear in Verve. In 2000, Haasan made her cinematic debut in the Tamil and Hindi bilingual film, Hey Ram, directed by her dad. She made a cameo appearance as the daughter of Vallabhai Patel in the biopic of Mahatma Gandhi.
Shruti haasan was to appear opposite Madhavan as a heroinein in 2008. However the project seems to be shelved for the time being.
Eventually Haasan signed up to Soham Shah's Luck opposite Imran Khan, a Bollywood film.
